Our Company History
Founded in 1983 by Dave Harvey
Splinters was founded and
commenced operations in 1993 from its base in Woking, Surrey,United Kingdom.
It was
seen there was a need for a fast-response Emergency
boarding-up service for broken windows in shops, offices, and private
residences following Criminal Damage, Burglary, Impact by Motor Vehicles, Sudden Death, Fire or Vandalism.
The Emergency
services time is precious, and on discovery of an insecure premises, it is necessary for the premises to be attended by a
Police Officer until the owner or key holder is contacted,
quite often the key holders details are not available or out
of date, and under their powers, the Police have a duty of care to protect property, it is then necessary to
contact an
"Agent of necessity" such as ourselves to
attend and secure the premises, until such time as the owner can arrange
to have the damage repaired.
Surrey Police operate a call-out rota for services such as ours,although we are the
preferred service, it would be
unfair to other companies operating a similar service to be
excluded, unfortunately
other companies are unable to offer the same levels of service as Splinters. We are the
preferred company for the Emergency
Services, Security Companies,& Local Authorities, We have many "Blue Chip Companies" amongst our clients. We
are rightly proud of our reputation, have worked hard to secure our place as "No 1 in
Surrey".
